The Brookdale Lodge has a unique character, being a historic place surrounded by beautiful redwoods, but it seems the renovations are ongoing and have left some issues behind. While I loved the ambiance and charm, the service was pretty hit or miss and could definitely use better management. The food was decent, but some areas like the pool were not operational, which was a letdown.

The Brookdale Lodge has a unique charm with its historic setting, but there are notable downsides. While I appreciated the creativity of the restaurant dining experience, the overall maintenance and service left much to be desired. The rooms had a dated feel and were not as clean as expected, which was disappointing given the price point. The new management needs to focus on improvements to enhance guest satisfaction.
